This program recorded on December 18, 2018 reviews the unique challenges in the nutritional management of pediatric renal patients such as Individualized macro and micronutrient needs, technical challenges (i.e. impact of dialysis fluid), fluid balance issues, adherence or socio-economic, formula intolerances due to GI complications and/or growth complications. Through interactive case study discussion the speaker demonstrates the need for a tool-kit of solutions to address challenges, and interventions must be balanced with psycho-social needs, to optimize adherence to nutritional recommendations.
